The Best on Earth. The Best on Mars.

Here in Chicago he was the key to the most phenomenal run of championships we will ever see. Titles in 1991, 92 & 93… and then 3 more in 1996, 97 & 98. Michael Jordan was the best basketball player to ever play the game and I’ll always be grateful for having had a front row seat to watch it… In the 90’s, Bulls games were can’t miss TV. No deficit ever felt like too much for those teams to overcome, it was a spectacle that will never be repeated.

On this 11th day of September 2009, Michael Jordan will enter the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame with John Stockton, David Robinson and Jerry Sloan, a fitting ending to a one-of-a-kind career. To pay tribute here on theScroll, a trip down memory lane by way of Nike and Spike Lee… remember the first time you saw this?
